Executive Team

William J. O’Dwyer, President

  Bill O’Dwyer, has thirty-two years in the mechanical contracting field.  His capabilities to plan, administrate and coordinate business development with regard to target markets, goals and strategies are an asset to any company.  He has come through the ranks in various roles in his career – HVAC and Plumbing estimator, Project Manager, Service Manager and Marketing Director.  He began his career with The EMDE Company in 1980.  In 1988 he joined Mechanical Interiors Inc. (MIINC) as marketing director and moved to Vice President of Business Development where he was promoted to President in 1999.  From 2001 to 2002 he was the Executive VP of Business Development for Encompass Mechanical Services.  He joined Way Engineering Ltd. in 2003 as Vice President of Business Development.  Bill is a 1979 graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology,  Industrial Distribution.                                                                                       

Dennis Cowen, Executive Vice President Operations 

 Dennis Dennis Cowen, has thirty - four years experience in the mechanical contracting field beginning his career in 1977 as an estimator with Donald Miller Company.  In 1978 he joined the J.F. Cavanaugh Co. as a project manager.  In 1981 he moved to Natkin & Company as Senior Project Manager and later to Vice President and Operations Manager of their Kansas City Office.  In 1996 he went to Foley Company as Senior Construction Manager and Vice President.  He joined the Baker Construction Management Services Company in 1999 as Vice President.  He joined the Way Engineering, Ltd. organization in 2003 as a Senior Project Manager.  Dennis has a B.S. degree in Construction Management/Engineering and also attended Carrier Thermodynamics and Air Conditioning Engineering & Design School.

Randy Bradshaw, Executive Vice President Construction

  Randy Bradshaw, has forty years experience in the mechanical contracting field.  He has worked as an apprentice up to superintendent and on to Project Management and VP of Construction.He began his career in 1972 with Allied Mechanical Contractors as an apprentice.  In 1976 he went as an apprentice to The McCally Company.He moved on to Natkin & Company as a journeyman then to Alyeska Pipeline in 1977 as apprentice.  In 1977 he joined the Burden Brothers team as Foreman then Superintendent.  In 1980 he was employed with Sam P Wallace Company as Superintendent.  In 1985 he started his own business – Southeast Systems, Inc.  In 1991 he was employed as VP of Construction with Beard Mechanical Contractors, with a short interim with Burden Brothers Inc as a project manager.  He joined the Way Engineering, Ltd. – Dallas team as a project manager and labor liaison in 2002.   He is a member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 100 in Dallas.  He was also examining board member and holds a Master Plumber’s License with the State of Texas.                                        

John Newlin, Partner

  John Newlin, has thiry-two years experience working in the mechanical contracting business. Recruited after college in 1980 and worked four years with a private national mechanical contractor (The EMDE Company) with annual sales of $220 million where he received intense training in all aspects of large commercial mechanical contracting.  John then co-founded Mechanical Interiors, Inc. (MIINC) in 1984 and as President and CEO; he grew it into a $42 million company by 1998.  The company was then sold to a NYSE listed firm and became part of a $4.2 billion corporation.  He made a three year commitment to the company and held the position of Regional President for the Central United States and was responsible for $450 million in annual revenues.  John left Encompass in June of 2001 to work as a private consultant to the contracting business. John has been very active in all the major building associations in North Texas and holds several licenses and certifications for the State of Texas.  John graduated from the University of Texas with a B.S. in Architectural Engineering.

 Marcia Rhoades, Accounting/Office Manager

 Marcia Rhoades, has twenty-eight years in the mechanical contracting business.  She began her career in 1984 with Natkin & Company in the capacity of purchasing / accounting assistant.  She became leader in accounting / job cost system for the entire company in 1989.  She filled many roles – purchasing manager, operations assistant, project management assistant, estimating coordinator on all bids; accounting assistant, accounting manager on payables, receivables, job costing, contract administration, subcontracts, month end accounting close and final close out on all projects.  In 1997 she joined the Ivey Mechanical Company in role of office manager.  In 2002 she joined the Way Engineering, Ltd. – Dallas office in the role of office manager.
